Product Overview

Fenggang zinc and selenium tea is harvested in the county of Fenggang, situated in the northern part of Guizhou province. The climate in this region is a humid subtropical monsoon with very few seasonal changes, which means that it gets neither too cold in the winter, nor too hot in the summer. This provides the ideal conditions for growing tea. Fenggang zinc and selenium tea is derived from the Camellia sinensis plant cultivated at an altitude of 800-1200 meters. The tea is harvested from March to September and only 1-3 of the youngest leaves are picked.

Fenggang zinc and selenium tea is a green tea. This tea is well known for it’s rich in zinc and selenium, processing by traditional and advanced modern technology, the valuable minerals like Zinc and Selenium are locked within. Zinc, selenium is necessary trace elements for human body. Zinc is the important component of a variety of enzymes in the human body. In January 2006, the general administration of quality supervision approved for the Fenggang zinc selenium-rich tea as geographical indications protection products. It also has lots of good features such as green water, mellow taste, fresh green leaves etc. What makes it different from the other types of tea is the way it is processed. Generally, green teas are heat-treated in a hot roasting pan to stop the process of natural oxidation. This preserves the green color of the leaves and helps retain high levels of polyphenols, which have antioxidant properties.

This tasty tea is known for its even and flat appearance, resembling sunflower seeds. It brews a bright green liquor color with clean aroma, fresh fragrance and a hint sweet mouthfilling taste. The infused leaves are hairless and lovely. The comprehensive index of flavor, quality and aroma ranks top one domestically. The tea leaves are picked from the most tender of shoots and buds from natural organic tea garden in tea forest located at misty and cloudy Phoenix Hills.

Brewing Guide: We recommend using glass-based or porcelain tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Use about 2 grams of tea leaves (1 teaspoon) for every 400 ml of water. Steep tea leaves in hot water 80°c (176°F) for 1 minute for the first and second brewing. Gradually increase steeping time and temperature for subsequent brewing.
